Backing Australia’s emerging artists
During my time at Ogilvy Australia, I had the privilege of working on an exciting digital campaign for our client, American Express, in partnership with Spotify. The campaign was designed to promote the One Million Dollar Music Backers Fund, aimed at supporting emerging Australian artists. Our goal was to encourage the Australian public to listen to the featured artists on Spotify and vote for their favorite musicians to enter them into the competition.
Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, who developed the campaign’s copy, we crafted a concept that showcased the artists in an authentic, raw light. To reinforce American Express's support, we incorporated the subtle outline of an American Express card into the visuals, symbolically "hugging" the artists and emphasising the brand's commitment to nurturing talent.
The idea was to make the audience feel as though they were experiencing a live performance from the venue, capturing the energy and passion of the musicians in a way that resonated with listeners. The result was a dynamic, engaging campaign that not only highlighted emerging Australian talent but also brought the excitement of live music directly to the audience through a digital experience.
